What is vaginal microbiome? Just like the gut, the vaginal tissue consists of trillions of microorganisms — mostly bacteria, plus some fungi and viruses. Together, these populations make up the vaginal microbiome. But why should I care about my vaginal microbiome? There’s an immense amount of research that is now showing just how important our vaginal microbiomes are and just how personalized our approaches to managing them should be. Imbalanced vaginal microbiome profiles have been shown to be associated with increased rates of bacterial vaginosis, infertility, preterm birth, and increased risk of STD susceptibility. Why am I only just hearing about the vaginal microbiome? The vaginal microbiome and its impact on women’s health and fertility is only just being unraveled. Research in this space has lagged behind the gut microbiome but very recent work is showing its importance in things like infections, fertility, and preterm birth. A healthy vaginal microbiota can help to prevent urogenital conditions such as sexually transmitted infections (STI), vaginal infections, urinary tract infections, and bacterial vaginosis. Recurrent bacterial vaginosis, does this have to do something with my vaginal microbiome Yes, indeed; bacterial vaginosis is a condition in which the vaginal microbiome is imbalanced. An imbalanced vaginal microbiome often contains ‘bad bacteria’ that cause a biofilm to form. Oftentimes, antibiotics alone are not enough to disrupt this biofilm and help you get rid of bacterial vaginosis. Understanding what’s in your vaginal microbiome can help you and your doctor work toward the best solution for you. | Why use Biom’s vaginal suppository to balance vaginal microbiome? Biom’s powerful synergistic combination of vaginal probiotics, prebiotics, and lactic acid restores the balance of microflora, and is helpful for common urogenital problems including bacterial vaginosis and vaginal infections. The formulation also has hyaluronic acid that has the capacity to moisturize vaginal for hydration and lubrication. Our patented microbiome BiomsifyTM fermentation technology allows vaginal tissue adapted probiotic flora to maximally adhere and colonize the vaginal tissue. Our proprietary strains of Lactobacillus crispatus Bi16 and Lactobacillus gasseri Bi19 are from healthy human commensal flora that inhibit pathogens with high colonization capacity. Is Biom’s vaginal suppository safe to use? All the ingredients used in Biom Vaginal Suppository are safe compounds that mostly originated from organic vegan sources. It includes Coconut fatty acids, hyaluronic acid, natural moisturizing complex, patented Biomsify Probiotics-Prebiotics Complex 10 billion flora (Lactobacillus acidophilus Bi14, Lactobacillus crispatus Bi16, Bacillus coagulans Bi34, Lactobacillus gasseri Bi19, lactose, enzyme-hydrolyzed cellulose, oligofructose, silica gel), lactic acid, organic natural jasmine oil. Who makes Biom’s vaginal suppositories? I am updating my review to say that these suppositories are absolutely great. They stop the awful burning of my extensive post menopausal problems. I appreciate their existence more than I can say. At first, I balked at the price, but the cheaper ones are clearly awful. Also, lately I have caught some coupon and prime day discounts that make them much more affordable. Thank you for making this life-changing product.

I bought these on the suggestion from my doctor to use a vaginal probiotic because of antibiotic use. I am diabetic and get UTIs often. I researched vaginal suppositories until I found one that was a more of a natural product. The product worked great and relieved my symptoms within a day or two. My only issue was that it contained oligofructose which is sugar. This made my blood sugars rise fairly high each nite I used them. I had to take additional insulin to be able to continue to use them. Oligofructose is suppose to be able to be used by diabetics with little to no side effects. But that wasn’t the case for me. So diabetics be aware of this ingredient in case you have issues with your blood sugars while using this product . I really liked the product and it did its job well. Just wish it didn’t have this ingredient. Some other brands of vaginal suppositories also have this ingredient. So unfortunately I can’t give it 5 stars but I would, and have, recommended this products to others.

These are worth the money! They saved my lady bits from recurrent BV. I did have a protocol I put together with trial and error…. I was getting BV frequently. Finally, I got it down to “occasionally “ and now (knock on wood- no pun intended) hopefully to “no more” !
I was doing the metro gel and diflucan. That worked for a bit, but anything with antibiotics will just put you back into the BV cycle. So, when needed, I just do oral diflucan every 3 days (3 pills total, but sometimes just once- whatever was prescribed). Most of the time, I just used the tea tree oil suppositories (also on amazon) for 4-7 days at night. Then, after the tea tree oil killed off the bad bacteria/ fungal infection, I went to these. I used them for 3 nights. After that, I maintained with boric acid suppositories. I’d end up using the boric acid once a week once things cleared up. Then, I moved to 2-3 times a month. Always use at least 1x a month now to maintain a healthy vaginal flora. I try to use these sparingly since they are expensive. I store them in the fridge.

For two years I have been suffering from vaginal ph issues that cause constant irritation and discomfort. My docotor told me to take oral probiotics which worked for awhile but then they started to cause digestive issues. I tried Boric Acid which has worked for others but not me – it was extremely irritating. I have been searching for several months for probiotic vaginal suppositories and was so happy when I finally found these on Amazon. I told my doctor about them and she actually looked them up when I was at an appt so she could start showing other patients. After 3 days of use I had relief and felt the best I’ve felt in over two years. Great product and absolutely fantastic customer service from Biom. Try this product you will not be disappointed!!!

No smell, no irritation, no excessive discharge… just things like they should be. Probably the most effective product for post menopausal dryness or irritation.

I was really excited to try this vaginal probiotic suppository because I’ve been having some issues with my pH balance. I’ve been using it for a little over a week now and I have to say that I really like it! It’s very easy to use and prevents feminine odor, which is a huge plus. Overall, I’m really happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a way to balance their pH or reduce bacteria.
